Riz is a free man! It has to be said with all the respect in the world but Riz’s wife has decided that he has suffered for long enough and he may now be released into the beautiful world of freedom. So any of you girls out there that would like to be personal assistant, unpaid of course, feel free to leave him a message.

Anyway, we have been composing again this week! After a long break of a week! We decided to go for 10:30 friday morning, till we finished.

We have decided to put our minds towards more commercial and house/ break to see the response. Obviously not just main stream. Quite a good day as we finished 3 songs, with 2 of them leaving us quite content. It’s all starting again folks! The creativity is back and who knows what the next song will be like? Watch this space! We are planning to meet up after the weekend and carry on our quest to find the real deal and then friday, back to the house to write more. Ooh dedication’s what you neeeed!!

All said and done, even with all the negativity in the world of Marsh, things are good, the music is starting to flow again and at least for the fourteenish hours in the studio, dreams are turned into reality and the only negative side, is that a day is too short!
date 09-June-2005 title OFF TO A FLYING START
On friday and Monday, we spent the whole day in front of a computer screen, trying a first wave of promotion. (well one of us did whilst the other played yahoo chess against the whole world!!!!! May I add that he won every single game!) As I was saying, (we) sent emails to as many promotion agencies,labels, a&r’s as we could find,inviting them to visit the site. Must have made a HUGE impact, as from a grand total of 60 emails sent, we have had 2 responses to date, both of which are from friends. Morale boosting, we hear you say!! Well we know how it must be for them, bulti billion dollar yearly turn overs with not enough staff to deal with the wee little musicians out there that give their last 2 dollars to be taken seriously and be given just the acknowledgment they deserve for giving everything they own for the addiction and love for music. Waffle waffle waffle blah blah whatever!! We’re not giving up! So any of you directors/Employees etc that have taken the time to look at the diary, GET IN TOUCH!! Cause, you see the tall good looking one? He’s a black belt in….well….. something, and he really doesn’t want to become a chess player and the riz definitely does not require anymore offers to appear front page of the all new “I’m chubby but proud” magazine.
date 01-June-2005 title Plans
The web is nearly ready, hopefully fully functional by the end of the week. Today we are collecting addresses and sending our news. That's enough! No more running around in all directions, i.e: Kids, shows, web, compose, etc. Too much pain for so little gain! We have decided to concentrate on promotion by contacting agencies and producers. One has to think with one's head not with one's heart.
At the end of this week we are hoping to officially open the web site, but with our luck in some areas of the I.T, department, the worldwide web will suffer a global shut down!
We still have no news on the AV festival but we have been in contact with a group of musicians that want to join us for shows. We'll wait and see.
date 18-May-2005 title Hospital
We have just finished the show for the kids at the hospital. We took some gifts that were kindly given by an hypermarket, and some toys made by Riz's mother. The truth is that it went quite well, but a lot of kids from 12 - 14 years old came up to watch, and as the show was really for younger kids you can probably work out the reaction.
It was a great experience: the younger children laughed too much. It’s a show for them and their parents. Will we repeat any day? Probably yes, on july, for Double O son´s birthday party.
date 28-April-2005 title More children
We have prepared a show including children's songs, with some jokes and puppets. We are going to make a show in May at Materno Hospital in Malaga, for children in 4th floor (oncology), and their families. We are very happy to be able to do it. I´ll try to bring one picture, but we probably can't. Doesn't matter. Let's go. There are 2 more shows coming. One of them is in Fuengirola, in a very well known pub. The other is a nice dream: there is a big 3 days Festival here in summer, AV. Last year came Morrisey. And we are trying to be included in it. Fingers crossed. We will see.
date 18-April-2005 title Live show at La Playa, in Torremolinos
Yesterday we had our second live show as Marsh, and it was the first time that someone calls us because he like the music. Nice event, with some people feeling the groove. Beto, sax and Jose, trumpet, started before he had to, but they couldn't wait. Another step off. Some news about schools, but nothing real. We hope to start at the end of this month.

We have finished 8 songs for children, and we are going to prepare 8 more next week. It's a new challenge we have just started. We will tell you more things next week. Take care.
date 24-March-2005 title Unlimited faith
We have visited nearly 15 spots. If you are an unknown group, you have 2 possibilities, depending on the people you can bring: if you bring a lot, the kind owners of the big halls offer you a percentage of entries. Nice. If you cannot bring too many, they rent you the hall. I want a business like this: all the money coming from the bars are not under discussion. It's a lovely detail from the owner to himself. Of course, third possibility, if you are thinking of asking for some money, you're still a dreamer. Money? To pay? Are u crazy?
So the question is: we need a nice group of fans of our music to be able to make a show, kind enough to go from here to there to listen, and we need some shows to be able to have a nice group of fans, kind enough etc...
Another nice question is about our music. Owners ask us for a recording. Perfect: we have. And then, what type of music do you make? Well... er... type... yes... some of them. When you have explained 5 times the same story about the music we make (from bossanova to house, with some music-hall, chill, funky, r&b, irish gig, and others), you have to find an easy way. So the sixth time we decided to answer "funky". "Funky?". Yes, "approximative funky".
We saw yesterday a board of a big hall where there was a contest for independent groups from here, on tue, wed, and thu, so we took our instruments today, and went there, doesn't matter if we have to play out of contest. But not possible: it's only (nothing said on board) for groups from a strange company. "What?". "Yes, this is a nice company with fantastic practice studios to be rented by groups, around 7 euros/hour. You have time to visit it now, if you want: it will be perfect for you". "If we don't rent, can't we play?". "Well, we are thinking of making another contest for other groups, but not now, man". Last century, the norm was to receive some money for playing. It's true that world music is every day worse and worse: now, musicians have to pay to play. If Casanova would be a musician in this time, he would probably be a priest now.
date 8-March-2005 title Unplugged?
Tue 8th March. 21:00. Tetería La Mezquita, Fuengirola, Spain
Small local, very nice. Our debut on slow and spanish songs. Lot of mistakes during show, but very nice. People there asked the owner for another show of us and to be advice about it. Another surprise: a female marvelous voice. Very good vibrations. We will play on saturday in April, if we are not involved in other concerts. We are going to ask in Málaga, where there are some locals to visit. Let's see. We have some pictures.
date 3-March-2005 title First live show
Koppas, concert hall, Fuengirola, Spain
Rainy weather, thursday, very late. Our live debut. Not bad: computer didn´t work, but hundred people were, specially enjoying second part of the show, where we presented our wind surprise. Very good vibrations. People at Koppas wanted us to return on friday in April. We will add asap some new pictures and video. This is the only we have now.
date 13-February-2005 title Web page is working
Not finished, but working, ready to be seen. We have sent plenty of CDs to some places in the world. Nobody knows. Every new possibility is ready to be contacted. We have finished a new song, first after finishing Long time coming. One month and a half without doing any new song: too much. The work is nearly done: time to make songs again. We will tell.
date 11-February-2005 title Long time coming is ready!
We have first copies of Long time coming in our hands. Seven months of a hard fight are gone. Now I's time to send them to our friends and start moving. We have made more than 10 different selections and various different group names til we stopped at Marsh and Long time coming. Let see what happens in the future.
date 28-January-2005 title We have finished
The work is sent to Madrid, to make the copies. There is a nice man there who has helped us a lot, explaining all the things to be done. We have finished mastering and CD design, so time to relax. Just a little bit. There is a lot of things still to do.
date 20-January-2005 title Money and possibilities
A very good friend of our's likes our music very much, and he has offered to pay our first recording. Absolutely nice. Time to forget other people: if you want something to be done well, do it yourself! We start work mastering the songs, and several friends told us that they have contacts in some countries, so the best is to send them the final CD: Norway, Holland, USA, Canada, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and GB are our first deal. Let's finish.
date 11-January-2005 title Last try
We are close to be ready to begin preparing our own CD, with our own company. We need to know what documents and other f. papers we need, because we don't know most of them. We found a record company in Barcelona with a nice page and ideas. We wrote to them to ask for some help, but also asking about distribution and prices, because they are very careful about that. They never answered. Good bye, my friends!
date 15-November-2004 title Musical is ready
We have finished 13 of the final 14 songs, for Musical, something we had been requested by an important promoter in Spain, and we also have the lyrics for last one. We will show them to big P.
Finally, big P changed his mind and asked us about songs for a CD. We can't believe it. He gave us 2 Cirque du Soleil videos and asked us about similar music for a show, and now he is not convinced about making a show, a CD or what kind of f. job. Good bye, my friend: 14 songs for nothing.

We have known a relatively important man who works only with House music. He invited us to a show in a disco. He is very kind, but the tracks we've prepared for him are not what he is looking for. Well, he isn't really looking for anything. Nice man, but 3 songs for nothing.
date 15-September-2005 title Publicity
Well, things are not exactly how we are hoping. We need to ask for some money while we end a good CD. We phoned some friends in the local TV world, but they all tell us the same: no money for music for TV ads. We went to an important film studio: a nice girl gave us the card of a person there, and asked us to write to her. Two e-mails and another visit, but nobody answered. Maybe the music is absolutely awful, but we just wanted them to hear a small piece, or just an email to say "no, thanks". Good bye, friends!
